Maurizio Battello nasce a Milano nel 1955, fotografo e giornalista, è appassionato dall’età di 15 anni di arte, fotografia e viaggi. Preferisce fotografare soprattutto immagini di cieli e nuvole, riprese in tutto il mondo e in ogni condizione meteo. Battello registra avvenimenti naturali ed elementi artificiali che accadono ogni giorno sopra le nostre teste, per illustrare il sottile e fragile confine terra-cielo. In questi anni ha organizzato proiezioni (video digitale Nuvolario), mostre d’arte e installazioni fotografiche, alcune delle quali caratterizzate da allestimenti alternativi (librerie, biblioteche, treno-bar, ristoranti, torre medievale, torre più alta d'Italia, aree verdi e agenzia viaggio). Alcune sue fotografie sono state pubblicate su riviste di natura, di turismo, su libri d’arte, di storia locale e su siti di settore, oltre a interviste e dibattiti.

I sogni nel cassetto sono pubblicare un libro sul tema, realizzare una esposizione in cima al grattacielo Pirelli e nel Museo nelle nuvole di Messner (sulle Dolomiti), per invitare a una profonda riflessione sul rapporto responsabile uomo-natura, e proiettare il video digitale Nuvolario in scuole ed auditorium per proporre una sensibilità spirituale e una aspirazione di infinito e di eternità.

Maurizio Battello, was born in Milan in 1955, photographer and journalist.  By the age of 15 painting and photography had captivated him.  He prefers to photograph natural subjects, above all the Skies and Cloud, shooting images throughout the world, in every weather condition imaginable. With a click Battello records the natural events (sunrises and sunsets) as well as the artificial elements (airplane tracks and chemical wakes) that appear above our heads every day, in order to illustrate the subtle border between earth and Skies. In recent years he has organized viewings (digital video Nebularium), art exhibitions, and photography installations about the clouds variable and temporary, several of which are characterized by alternative displays (bookstores and shops, towers and parks, in the bars and dining cars of trains, as well as museums and libraries). A number of his photographs have been published in nature and tourism magazines, in art books, and shown at local events. His lifelong ambitions include publishing a distinctive book on the theme of Clouds, and presenting an exhibition at the summit of a Skiesscraper Pirelli and to be exhibited in a museum in the clouds on the peaks of the Dolomites, to inspire profound reflection towards achieving a positive relationship between man and nature.  In addition he hopes to present circulating exhibit Nebularium to various schools or auditorium, with the goal of encouraging spiritual insight and aspirations of the infinite and of eternity.
